How iLivaro ranks resorts
We would rather be checkable than clever. This is exactly how a recommendation is produced.
Matching is deterministic, not generative
Rankings come from a rule-based scoring engine over structured fields — transfer durations, villa categories, reef attributes, dining venues, amenities. The same preferences against the same data always produce the same ranking. The language model reads your description and writes explanations; it never scores, ranks or supplies resort facts.
Hard requirements are respected absolutely
Anything you mark as essential is a filter, not a weight. A resort that fails it is excluded and listed under 'excluded — and why'. When a requirement cannot be verified from our data, we do not silently treat that as a pass: the resort is kept but flagged as unverified on that point.
Weights follow your priorities
Each search builds its own weighting. Components you called very important carry more weight; components you called unimportant are dropped entirely. The weighting used for your search is shown on the results page, and the per-component scores are visible on every result.
Match score and confidence are separate
Match score answers 'how well does this fit what you asked for'. Confidence answers 'how completely and recently have we evidenced this resort'. A resort can fit you well while being thinly documented — we show both rather than blending them into one misleading number.
Budget is indicative only
We hold no live rates and take no commission. Budget fit is derived from recorded market positioning, so it is a coarse filter to avoid resorts far outside your range — never a quote. Always confirm price with the resort directly.
Unknown is never treated as yes
If a field is not recorded, we say so. Missing evidence reduces confidence and is listed explicitly on the result. We would rather show a gap than fill it with an assumption.
Every fact is traceable
Decision-critical values are backed by a source with a publication date, a verification status and a last-checked date. Sources are reviewed by a human before a value changes, and conflicting sources are adjudicated rather than auto-resolved.
What iLivaro is not
Not a booking engine, not an OTA, not a paid-placement directory. No resort can pay to rank higher, and we earn nothing from your booking. You book directly with the resort.
